The smell of kettle corn, cotton candy, and lots of other scents fill the air at the Annual Flat Rock Creek Festival. This year the event took place starting September 16 and went through the 18th. It was a fun time. The rain on Saturday stopped things for a little bit but by the afternoon it was beautiful and sunny for the concerts in the evening.

Friday morning was when the event began. People had already filled up all the parking and the campground long before the Opening Ceremony officially started the day. Vendors throughout the region were on hand selling their wares from antiques, food, to soaps & scents, pumpkins and everything else to remind you that fall is upon us.

The opening ceremony took place at 10 am with Paulding Chamber President Peggy Emerson announcing Paul Collinson to sing the opening song. Lou Cooke, Northwest Ohio Regional Liaison, presented the recognition certificate of 25 years of service of the Flat Rock Creek Festival to the community.
