Maumee Valley Antique Stream & Gas Show Starts Today

Maumee Valley Steam & Gas 3x7 #33The 39th Annual Maumee Valley Family Antique Steam & Gas Association Show and Family Fun Festival will be held August 18-21, 2016 at Jefferson Township Park, east of New Haven, Indiana between U.S. 30 and U.S. 24 at 1720 Webster Road just north of Dawkins Road. For more information and map, visit our web site at (wwvv.maumeevalley.org).

This years’ features are Oliver and Hart Parr tractors and equipment and The Oliver Gang summer show. All other exhibitors are welcome. See antique steam engines, tractors, equipment, gas engines, antique trucks and cars, We vvgill be threshing wheat, sawing lumber and plowing with tractors and steam engines. A 15 ton, 125 HP Buckeye Oil Engine that came from the elevator at Grabill, IN and also stationary steam engines will also be running.

Paulding Putnam Electric CooperativeThe Indiana Chapter of the Maumee Valley Blacksmiths will be doing demonstrations. Women will enjoy the flea market and Trading Post and a large quilt show. Paulding-Putnam Electric will give special demonstrations on Friday at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on “The Danger of Electricity”.

Children can ride the Barrel Train and play in the sand box or take a tractor driving lesson. On Saturday, a clown will entertain children, a Kiddie Tractor Pull will be held at 2:00 p.m. and there will be an Exotic Animal Show at 3;00 p.m, Parades will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 3;00 p.m. on Sunday. Hay rides and demonstrations with horses and mules will be on Friday and Saturday. Antique tractor pulls will begin at 5;00 p.m. on Friday and at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday weather permitting.

Food: St Paul’s Lutheran Church Youth Group will be serving Andy’s Knockout Chicken 11:00 a,m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Pulled Pork Dinners and Sandwiches on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Other food vendors are on the grounds daily. Delicious steamed sweet corn ill be served all four days, Entertainment: Friday – Dulcimer music 5:00 to 7;00 p.m. arid Mojo RisingBand (60’s & 70’s music) from 7:00 – 9 00 p.m. (Bring your lawn chairs) sponsored by Midwest Tile & Concrete, Saturday – Applejack Kioggers – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Appalachian music 5.00 p.tn.

See steam engine fireworks, a Spark Show, after dark Friday and Saturday. Sunday – Church Service at 9 00 a.m. The New Haven High School Alumni Band will perform at 1:30 p.m. Dail.admission charged or a 4 day pass is available.
