Patrol Investigating a Two Vehicle Fatal Crash

police lights sheriff emergencyBryan At 6:18 PM, The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash at State Route 15 north of County Road H in Jefferson Township, in Williams County. This is three miles north of the City of Bryan.

A 2004 Ford Taurus, driven by 16 year old Warren J. Robison of Toledo, Ohio, was traveling southbound on SR 15. A 2003 Lexus RX 300, driven by 47 year old Dawn M. Courtaway of Pioneer, Ohio, was traveling northbound on SR 15. The Ford Taurus crossed over the centerline, and was struck by the Lexus RX 300. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.

The driver of unit #1 Warren J. Robison and the right front passenger Maya Taylor, age 14 of Montpelier were transported to Bryan Community Hospital. They were both later transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. The right rear passenger Gibson D. Burkholder, age 15 of Ridgeville Corners was flown from the scene by Life Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. The left rear passenger Chanelle B. Albertson, age 17 of Montpelier, Ohio was pronounced dead at the scene. All four occupants were wearing their seat belt.

The driver Dawn Courtaway was taken to Bryan Community Hospital and is in stable condition. She was wearing a seat belt during the crash.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by Williams County Sheriff’s Department, Williams County Coroner’s Office, Bryan Fire and Williams County EMS Rescue. The crash remains under investigation.
