Navy Seaman Britni M. Bolinger recently completed basic training at the Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. She graduated from Navy Recruit Training Command on Friday, July 8, 2016 as part of the TG 35- 8 divisions (243-248, 815 and 935). The formal military ceremony honored the Sailor’s hard work and dedication to a new way of life. Pass-In-Review also tied together the future of the Navy with their long-held naval traditions and customs.

During the accelerated six-week program, Bolinger completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs and history, first aid, water safety and survival. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness. The capstone event of boot camp is “Battle Stations.” This exercise gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet. It is designed to galvanize the basic attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit through the practical application of basic Navy skills and the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.

Attending the graduation ceremony in Illinois were her brother, Brahndon Bolinger and friend Madison Wigent along with Tammy and Jamie Grunden.
