Attempted Robbery at New Haven Kroger Supermarket

NH robberyOn June 20, 2016 at approximately 1:00am New Haven Officers responded to an Attempted Robbery at Kroger located in the 800 block of Lincoln Hwy West. The suspect fled on foot to an unknown vehicle parked in a nearby lot prior to Police arrival. The suspect entered the U-Scan register area and asked the employee to provide him change. The suspect shoved the employee to the ground trying to gain access to the cash drawer. The suspect was unable to obtain any cash, and ran out of the store. No weapon was shown during the attempted robbery, and the employee was not seriously injured. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark colored shirt and grey shorts, approximately 5’7” medium build with brown hair. The New Haven Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the accompanied photos.
