Absentee ballots must be postmarked today or hand-delivered to the board of elections before the polls close tomorrow
COLUMBUS – On the eve of the 2016 Presidential Primary Election in Ohio, Secretary of State Jon Husted reminds registered voters there is still time to cast your vote or return your completed absentee ballot to your county board of elections.
By the close of the polls on March 15th, Ohio voters will have had nearly four weeks to cast their ballots during the early voting period that began on February 17th. Early voting in Ohio includes 211 hours for early in-person voting and 28 days for a voter to cast their ballot from the comfort of his or her own home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The polls will be open on Election Day for 13 hours.
Absentee Voters
Returned absentee ballots must be postmarked by today and arrive at your board of elections within 10 days of the election in order to be counted. Ohio is one of only 12 states to allow late-arriving ballots to be counted.
If you have not mailed your ballot, the Secretary of State’s Office recommends you make plans to return it in-person to your county board of elections before the polls close at 7:30pm tomorrow. A voted ballot may also be returned by a family member.

Voting on Election Day:
Polls will be open throughout the state tomorrow from 6:30am until 7:30pm. Voters can find their polling location, check their registration and view a sample ballot by going to www.MyOhioVote.com/VoterToolkit.
Voters planning to cast their ballot in-person on Election Day should remember to bring proper identification. A list of acceptable forms of I.D. can be found on the Secretary of State’s website here.
