Lincolnview hosted the Wayne Trace Raiders boys basketball team on Saturday, December 12. The Raiders have had an interesting, and difficult year. They were expected to really dominate the game this year and it hasn’t happened. Not playing bad, but they just haven’t gotten to the point of clearly commanding the court. Not much can be said against the Lancers as they are still undefeated in and out of the NWC.

The Raiders, on the other hand, have struggled since the third game. Winning the first two games seemed easy until Paulding came along, again both games have been close. Since none of these are conference games, it’s not a huge deal… yet.

This game began with both teams playing very similar. The Knights and the Raiders both are year-over-year top rivalries and this year is just as competitive.

The first half was very close. Luke Miller and Ethan Linder both had excellent scoring. The half ended 29-32 with three on Crestview’s team who really had their game together.

The third period is what muddled up the Raiders plan. The Wayne Trace offense could not keep close in this quarter. The fourth had the Raiders on top in points, but it couldn’t make up the difference lost from the period before. The game finished 72-60 with Lincolnview on top. Chandler Adams was incredible, making 8 of 8 free throws. On the Raider side, Ethan Linder easily had the top score — for both sides.
