Erwin BandyErwin Jason Bandy age 68 died Friday, April 24, 2015 at his residence.

He was born December 11, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Joseph Y. and Martha (Young) Bandy. On August 29, 1971 he married Sandy S. Hendricks, who survives. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War; a member of the First Christian Church, Paulding, a member of Ohio Bar Association; a member of Flat Rock Lodge #580 F & AM; and a former member of Paulding Lions Club. He attained his BA in Education at Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. He was an attorney for 37 years; former Paulding County Assistant Prosecutor; former Paulding County Court Judge; and former College Professor at Northwest State College, Archbold, OH. He enjoyed fantasy baseball and was a member of Strat-O-Matic Baseball League; Paulding Rotisserie Baseball League; and Canton Oilers Fantasy Football League.

He is also survived by three children, Melanie Bandy, Paulding, Jessica (Jeff) Trickett, Columbus, OH, Jason (Carrie) Bandy, Bolivar, OH; brother: Franklin Bandy, Paulding; sisters: Carol Davis, Harker Heights, TX, Ellen Homeister, Pleasant City, OH; and seven grandchildren: Stella, Barrett, Evelyn, Vada, Vivienne, Ross, and Phoenix.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Bandy.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, April 29 at First Christian Church, Paulding. Graveside services will be held at 2PM Wednesday in Brown Cemetery, Bryan, OH, with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Tuesday, April 28 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. There will also be visitation at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to First Christian Church; CHP Hospice; or Cancer Research.
