This year’s Hoops for Heart event was the greatest year yet for Antwerp, raising $4,954.07! The top money raisers were Becca Johanns with $200 and Chelsea Johanns with $200.
In the Junior High, Keaton Altimus, Cole Seslar, and Jason Dunstan won the 3 on 3, while Jayvin Landers took the free throw contest and Garret Laney sunk the 3-point event.
In the High School, the 3 on 3 tournament was championed by Josh Longardner, Matthew Jones, and Gregg Kurtz. Sam Williamson dominated both the 3 point and Free throw contests.
Great job to all the students that participated and congratulations on another school record.
This event began in 1997 by then Antwerp teacher (current superintendent) Pat Ross.
There has been over $62,000 raised for the American Heart Association since this event began 18 years ago.
