It was a game packed with action from the beginning to the end and even has the Raiders nearly let it go.

Both teams were in a scoring spree hitting 17 points each in the first quarter. Wayne Trace spread the score out while Jaden O’Neal from Lima had nearly half of the total points for the opposing team.

Luke Miller and Corbin Linder both posted 3 point baskets. It wasn’t easy as Shawnee was fast and furious on the court.

The first half finished with only a 3 point difference and the Raiders were down at 32-29. This game would be close and may turn similar to the game against Napoleon, Wayne Trace’s only loss.

The three point lead held by Lima quickly vanished as half time turned into the third quarter. 28 points were added to the board with most by David Sinn and Ethan Linder as the Raiders kept the opposing boys to only 11, finishing the third quarter with a 57-43 lead. The game was in the bag, or so one would assume.

Not so, both teams were fouling and Ethan Linder and Jaden O’Neal were both at the line a lot. Linder posted 13 free throw points on 16 shots while Jaden hit 12 of 14. The Shawnee began an incredible revival and added 28 points to their score and the Raiders only put 18 on their side. The 10 point fourth quarter difference finished the game giving the Raiders only a four point lead and a record of 12-1.

Score by Player:

Shawnee High: Jaquan Tucker 13; Zach Casey 2; Jake Leppla 6; David Fox 6; Jaden O’Neal 34; Zayne Wilkerson 4; Griffin Hites 6.
