This year’s theme for the first ever Chalk Walk at Day in the Park is, “I Imagine in Antwerp.” So what does this mean? Use your imagination. Featuring the renowned artists of the area, the children will have a great time coloring with chalk on their own piece of black construction paper. All of the artwork will be featured throughout the day and will be ready for parents to pick up by 5:00 p.m.

All of this fun will take place on August 9th on the west side of Riverside Park. Young and those of heart may come, participate and demonstrate your inner da Vinci to all in attendance.

There will be multiple sizes of paper to choose from: 8.5×11, 11×17 or 17×22 for your masterpiece. There will also be sections of sidewalk for those who want to leave their artwork temporally at the park. Chalk will be provided. For those wanting greater palette of color may bring their own (no oil pastels or paints allowed for sidewalks this year.)

Start working on your ideas now and we’ll see your vivid imagination at the Day in the Park on August 9!
