Riggenbach, Danny picDanny Riggenbach age 78, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, OH.

He was born in Paulding County, Ohio on May 20, 1935 the son of Harold and Laura (Spriesterbach) Riggenbach. On April 4, 1959 he married Almalee C. Monroe, who survives. He was a SGT in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired in 1993 from Consolidate Freightways, Fremont, IN and was previously employed by Reed Trucking, Kauser Trucking, and LaFarge. He was a member of the Paulding VFW Post #587 and Woodburn American Legion #377.

He is survived by his wife, Almalee, Paulding; three children: Molly (Russell) Haney, Paulding, Danny “Toie” Riggenbach Jr., Wauseon, and Kristi (Gary) Donat, Antwerp; a sister, Phyllis (Tom) Reynolds, Altoona FL; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted 3PM Saturday, May 17 at Rose Hill Church of God with Pastor Ron Hofacker officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post #587.

Visitation will be 2-9PM Friday, May 16 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and 1:30 until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Donations may be made to Wounded Warriors; Caring and Sharing Food Pantry; or CHP Hospice, Paulding.
